Two terms – 20 weeks’ tuition. 4 x 40 minutes per week
Criteria for inclusion on the trial: Lowest achievers in each year group, limited to children scoring below the 20th percentile for all aspects. Pre- and Post-Testing was done using the Lucid Range of assessment software.

The above results not only show significant improvements in literacy skills, but also similar (or even greater) improvements in all of the processing skills involved in literacy. The scores for verbal and non-verbal reasoning also indicates increases in cognitive efficiency as a direct result of working on Steps.
